Anchorman 2′s Ron Burgundy, who will be hosting the British Comedy Awards, to make announcements on Virgin Trains journeys
The words of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell – Anchorman 2) are unlikely to instil confidence in most train passengers.
But if you hear an announcement from (Ron Burgundy) the Anchorman 2 star while travelling on a Virgin Train next week, don’t be alarmed — he hasn’t commandeered the vehicle.
The messages from Anchorman 2’s Ron Burgundy on Virgin Train services are part of the publicity drive for the upcoming comedy sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues starring Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy.
Virgin announced the link up with Anchorman 2, Ron Burgundy and Will Ferrell on its Facebook page to the delight of several Virgin Train customers who were looking forward to hearing the messages.
The company wrote: ‘Well, Hellooooo, Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy, who has a voice that can make wolverine purr… has recorded special announcements to bring a bit of humour to your journey onboard. The “toilet” one is not to be missed!’
Ferrell has previously hosted a real news programme as Burgundy and also supposedly posted a photo of himself on Reddit to promote the new film.
Will Ferrell will also be hosting the British Comedy Awards this week.
