Think you can solve a Rubik’s Cube quicker than this guy?
A lot of people struggle to solve a Rubik’s Cube, let alone do it in six seconds.
But this 19-year-old made it look easy when he took home his second world title at the World Championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last weekend.
Feliks Zemdegs beat Dutchman Mats Valk and Poland’s Jakub Kip to defend his title, and was only 0.44 seconds short of breaking the world record.
‘The competition was really, really awesome, well-run. The venue was really nice, all the people were really nice,’ Feliks, from Melbourne, told Reuters.
‘The win was also really nice as well. Because I won last time, I was less nervous this time because I had already won one so that helped a bit.
Feliks wrote in a blog post earlier this year that he had practiced up to six hours every day to prepare for the World Championship, but said that ‘speedcubing’ was about having fun and should ‘never be a chore.’
