15 Types of People You Find in Every Gym

1.The Nudist

Usually found – the locker room

Often an older guy (although not exclusively) who never actually seems to leave the locker room. The nudist spends an inordinate amount of time in a state of complete undress, seemingly doing their best to always stand in a position that exposes them fully (usually one foot up on a bench).

2.The Sweater

Usually found – the cross-trainer

The kind of person who need only look at a treadmill to break into a sweat yet always seems to wear grey and never brings a towel. Be careful following them round the gym as they rarely wipe down any equipment, usually providing you with a cold shower if you get anywhere near them.

3.The Screamer

Usually found – the free weights section

There’s always that one person who wants everyone in the gym to know that they’re lifting weights. The screamer seems to revel in drawing attention by making as much noise as possible during a lift before dropping the weight and letting out a scream. Beware of the whooping when multiple screamers train together.

4.The Beauty Queen
Usually found – the exercise bike

The kind of girl who turns up to the gym in brand new sports gear, hair perfectly styled and a spade full of makeup on before managing to leave the gym in exactly the same perfectly quaffed state. Seems to spend more time gossiping and reading magazines than actually doing any exercise.

5.The Mayor

Usually found – around the PT’s

There’s always that one guy who seems to know everybody in the gym. His warm-up usually involves chats and high-fives with all the other bros meaning no exercise is done for the first half-hour in there. The mayor may not be the biggest or the strongest guy in the gym but he still walks around like he owns the place.

6.The ‘Expert’

Usually found – hanging around the free weights

The ‘expert’ is that person who never seems to actually do any exercise, yet is constantly offering advice to others on how they can ‘improve’ their technique. The ‘expert’ seems to revel in disrupting people’s sets and generally causing a nuisance around the gym.

7.The Cougar

Usually found – anywhere there’s fresh meat

Often a divorcee, the cougar is usually a middle aged woman on the hunt for some new young meat. The cougar works hard in the gym to try and keep in great shape but always has one eye on any potential prey, especially in the free weights section.

8.The Selfie
Usually found – anywhere there’s a mirror

The selfie is the kind of gym-goer who doesn’t seem capable of going up to the gym without their mobile phone. If they’re not checking in on Facebook then they’re usually taking a selfie which they can put on Instagram later. Should you ever be able to tempt them away from their phones you’ll struggle to draw their attention from the mirrors.

9.The Dude

Usually found – the weights room

The dude is often an older guy who tends to keep himself to himself. Most people will completely fail to notice him when at the gym, but to those who pay enough attention they will realise this guy knows his stuff. He has perfect form on every rep and despite not looking like anything special he warms up with your one rep max.

10.The Protein Monster

Usually found – in the locker room

The protein monster is often just about the skinniest bloke in the gym, yet chugs down whey protein like there’s no tomorrow. Unfortunately what he fails to realise is that you actually need to lift some weights to bulk up.

11.The Monopoliser
Usually found – the corner of the gym

The monopoliser is possibly the single most annoying person in the gym. They seem to try to gather as many weights and machines as possible before proceeding to lay claim to all of them throughout the duration of their workout. There is no point approaching them however as they will simply tell you the machine/weight is in use despite not having touched it yet.

12.The Window Shoppers

Usually found – anywhere there’s a potential partner

The window shopper seems to see the gym as an opportunity to meet a new partner. Much like the beauty queen they come fully decked out in new gear, spending most of their time eyeing up potential mates and will take any opportunity to try to strike up a conversation.

13.The Newbie

Usually found – amongst the weights machines

You can’t fault the gym newbie for enthusiasm, they throw themselves into every machine they possible can and often find new, totally ‘unique’ ways to use them. The problem is the newbie usually has terrible form and no plan so ends up going round in circles until someone points them in the right direction.

14.The Couch Potato

Usually found – sitting bike

The couch potato probably gets more exercise walking from their car to the locker room than they do in the gym itself. They can usually be found sitting around on the bikes pedaling at a rate that can barely constitute movement whilst reading a novel heavier than any weight they will ever lift.

15.The Super Woman

Usually found – free weights section

There’s always at least one girl in the gym who seems capable of lifting more than any of the blokes in there. She always looks in fantastic shape but doesn’t feel the need to flaunt it like the beauty queen. The Super Woman can usually be found warming up with a weight heavier than your PB.

16. The Yoga Guy

Usually found – any class that contains at least an 80% female attendance

The guy who you always see around but never actually in the gym. Spend long enough looking though and you’ll find him attending any class with a primarily female audience. Always looks a bit too keen to partake in partner based activities, especially ones that involve contact.

YouTube – How To Get Started, Tips and Tricks

YouTube is a beast in the social media world and it’s not just all pranks and cute kitten videos. Over 300 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute! Not all of it will go viral, in fact not all of it will be seen at all. So this is where I can hopefully nudge you in the right direction…

PICK A NAME FOR YOUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL OR YOUTUBE VIDEOS

So many YouTubers start uploading videos to an account before they have don’t their leg work and it can be a real pain to change later. A good example of this is “NicePeter” started a project with his friend “EpicLloyd” recording parody rap videos but when their video started to get popular people were looking for “Epic Rap Battles of History” and found them on a Nice Peter’s YouTube Channel instead which could confuse people. They have since opened a new channel to match their branding and boast over 12 million subscribers.

Picking a name at this stage can help you match social media accounts together helping people find you. For example if your YouTube account is MrHairyBrit you could grab your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Snap Chat accounts with the same username to help people find you should they want to see more of your work.

BRANDING AND YOUTUBE CHANNEL DESIGN
brandingYou don’t have to be a web designer or a branding graphic designer to make your channel stand out. YouTube Channels, as with most other social media profiles, have a header banner and a YouTube channel avatar. These banners and avatars are a way to let your audience know who you are, what you do, and a way to establish a recognised look.

The header banner needs to be 2560w x 1440h pixels as this is then used and scaled down for mobile devices such as phones, tablets and notebook laptops. As for the avatar or profile image I personally use and image that is 275w x 275h and I try and match the colours to the header banner so people are used to my avatar and my channel colours when they try to find my videos.

YOUTUBE CAMERA, YOUTUBE AUDIO, AND YOUTUBE VIDEO IDEAS

You don’t have to be rich to get into vlogging. YouTube is a great tool for any new curious vlogger who wants to find an audience on the internet. I personally started with a webcam that cost me £15. This had 720p video format and a fairly good microphone. The core thing to remember with videos is that video quality is great but if you cannot hear the video properly a viewer will very quickly tune out.

After a lot of testing I found that my webcam microphone was great depending on distance and that assuming I wasn’t in a dark room then the video quality wasn’t so much of an issue. I am since moved onto a £35 1080p Full HD webcam to film my vlogs and have a pretty reliable set up.

“Ok, so I have a camera and I have a microphone…. But what do I make videos about?”

A very good question. Now when you started this journey you may have had an initial thought of what the channel would be for whether its business, hobby, factual or just weird. Now why not open a notebook and throw words/questions at the page that would describe that topic for example if you want to make a video diary then these could be “Where I live. What’s my job? Do I have any pets? What did I think about the football this weekend?” Already there you have a few topics for a video. If its business based then why not explain who you are, what you sell, any examples, or your work etc

HOW DO I GET YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBERS? HOW DO I GET YOUTUBE VIEWERS?

It’s time to build an audience. You have some videos recorded and you are ready to get them seen but for that you need subscribers and random viewers. There are 7 important tips to help you boost your YouTube Subscribers and boost your YouTube Channel Video Views.

  • Make videos
Sounds obvious but you need to keep feeding you channel with new content that way people can find you.
  • Make videos regularly – schedule.
As you start to get random views you need to start building the routine for a viewer. Why not upload a video on a set day. This could be daily, weekly or monthly but try to stick to it that way people know when to expect a new video from you
  • Let your viewers know when you will make a video and how to subscriber.
Tell your viewers when you will be uploading your videos. That way they will come back but also make sure you ask them to subscribe that way when you do upload a new video YouTube will send them an email to tell them you have a new video for them.
  • Share videos with your social media.
You’ve made a video so make sure people know it exists! Share it with friends, family and your social media accounts otherwise you may have well put a sign post in the middle of a field that no-one ever walks in.
  • Share videos on related sites.
This is a good tip for expanding your audience. Your social media is full of people who have seen you before and expect videos from you while other sites are full of people that have yet to find you so this could be a way to spark their interest.
  • Stick to it
Rome wasn’t built in a day and a loyal YouTube Viewer and YouTube Subscriber base isn’t either. The more videos you publish the more chance people will find you and share you but then the more subscribers you have the more they can share you to so make sure you stick around for the long haul.

SHOULD I BUY YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBERS? SHOULD I BUY YOUTUBE VIEWS?

It can be very tempting to take short cuts in social media. Everyone has seen them and no doubt you may have had an email or a social media message offering you the chance to “Buy Active YouTube Subscribers” or “Buy Fake Twitter Followers” etc. Although these offers can look nice and the subscriber count may go up these are indeed inactive user accounts and in the long run will either get removed by YouTube Subscribers Account Checker looking for Fake YouTube accounts or in worst case scenario could get your social media account banned entirely due to YouTube Community Standard Breaches.

Also with YouTube Subscribers it is QUALITY over QUANTITY! You want active YouTube Subscribers to watch your videos so they can share them with friends, like your videos and comment on them. YouTube Comments, YouTube Likes, and YouTube Subscribers are the most powerful and effective way to help your channel get seen shared and grow.

AND FINALLY….

YouTube is not a get rich quick scheme! YouTube should be a place for you to share your opinions, have a laugh and to expand a business social media reach. If you are looking to join YouTube are wondering “How do I make a viral YouTube Video?” then you are looking at this in the wrong light entirely.

YouTube is a Social Media platform and I there for you to make friends, build connections and have fun, so make sure you don’t forget the fun!

I wish you all the luck in the world 🙂

Everybody loves a music festival. Music Festivals and their headline acts are the dreams of my music festival fans. Most music festival fans will try the music festival camping and the music festival camping is a integral part of the music festival experience. I have been to a few music festivals such as Sonisphere Music Festival and Download Music Festival but I have always love the idea of one day going to Reading & Leeds Music Festival, Glastonbury Music Festival, Hyde Park Calling Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival, Bloodstock Music Festival and maybe Woodstock Festival, Burning Man Festival, Wacken Music Festival, or even Sweden Rocks Music Festival sometime in the future.

Music Festivals can be a great way to meet people and find new bands and normally have big music festival headliners with fantastic live sets such as Metallica, Rammstein, Avenged Sevenfold, Muse, Eminem, Chase and Status, Paramore, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Linkin Park, and many other live music festival headliners and live festival sets that draw thousands in to enjoy their favourite music festival.

This vlog is to offer Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide and Festival Top Tips for music festival camping tips as a music festival survival guide based on my experience as a boy scout and a veteran of Download Music Festival and Sonisphere which are known for their fluctuating weather conditions. 10 Top Tips For The Perfect Nights Sleep

10 Tips For The Perfect Nights Sleep

Healthy sleep habits can make a big difference in your quality of life. Having healthy sleep habits is often referred to as having good “sleep hygiene.”

Try to keep the following sleep practices on a consistent basis:

1 – Stick to the same bedtime and wake up time, even on the weekends. This helps to regulate your body’s clock and could help you fall asleep and stay asleep for the night.

2 – Practice a relaxing bedtime ritual.
A relaxing, routine activity right before bedtime conducted away from bright lights helps separate your sleep time from activities that can cause excitement, stress or anxiety which can make it more difficult to fall asleep, get sound and deep sleep or remain asleep.

3 – Avoid naps, especially in the afternoon.
Power napping may help you get through the day, but if you find that you can’t fall asleep at bedtime, eliminating even short catnaps may help.

4 – Exercise daily.
Vigorous exercise is best, but even light exercise is better than no activity. Exercise at any time of day, but not at the expense of your sleep.

5 – Evaluate your room.
Design your sleep environment to establish the conditions you need for sleep. Your bedroom should be cool – between 60 and 67 degrees. Your bedroom should also be free from any noise that can disturb your sleep. Finally, your bedroom should be free from any light. Check your room for noises or other distractions. This includes a bed partner’s sleep disruptions such as snoring. Consider using blackout curtains, eye shades, ear plugs, “white noise” machines, humidifiers, fans and other devices.

6 – Sleep on a comfortable mattress and pillows.
Make sure your mattress is comfortable and supportive. The one you have been using for years may have exceeded its life expectancy – about 9 or 10 years for most good quality mattresses. Have comfortable pillows and make the room attractive and inviting for sleep but also free of allergens that might affect you and objects that might cause you to slip or fall if you have to get up during the night.

7- Use bright light to help manage your circadian rhythms.
Avoid bright light in the evening and expose yourself to sunlight in the morning. This will keep your circadian rhythms in check.

8 – Avoid alcohol, cigarettes, and heavy meals in the evening.
Alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine can disrupt sleep. Eating big or spicy meals can cause discomfort from indigestion that can make it hard to sleep. It is good to finish eating at least 2-3 hours before bedtime.

9 – Wind down. Your body needs time to shift into sleep mode, so spend the last hour before bed doing a calming activity such as reading. For some people, using an electronic device such as a laptop can make it hard to fall asleep, because the particular type of light emanating from the screens of these devices is activating to the brain. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid electronics before bed or in the middle of the night.

10 – If you can’t sleep, go into another room and do something relaxing until you feel tired. It is best to take work materials, computers and televisions out of the sleeping environment. Use your bed only for sleep and sex to strengthen the association between bed and sleep. If you associate a particular activity or item with anxiety about sleeping, omit it from your bedtime routine.

If you’re still having trouble sleeping, don’t hesitate to speak with your doctor or to find a sleep professional. You may also benefit from recording your sleep in a Sleep Diary to help you better evaluate common patterns or issues you may see with your sleep or sleeping habits.

Twitter For Beginners || Twitter 101 Dummies Survival Guide

Twitter is one of the largest social media platforms on the internet with a core audience being mainly 25years or younger as the most active demo graphic. However sometimes you look at it and can get confused with how to start so this is my Twitter For Beginners || Twitter 101 Dummies Survival Guide.

Twitter For Beginners || Twitter 101 Dummies Survival Guide is here to explain all you really need to now to get started.

The first step is to understand and master the vernacular. There are certain words and jargon native to Twitter that you may already have heard in passing. These terms and their abbreviations (in parentheses) are essential for understanding the network.

– Tweet: A 140-character message.

– Retweet (RT): Re-sharing or giving credit to someone else’s tweet.

– Feed: The stream of tweets you see on your homepage. It’s comprised of updates from users you follow.

– Handle: Your username.

– Mention (@): A way to reference another user by his username in a tweet (e.g. @mashable). Users are notified when @mentioned. It’s a way to conduct discussions with other users in a public realm.

– Direct Message (DM): A private, 140-character message between two people. You can decide whether to accept a Direct Message from any Twitter user, or only from users you are following. You may only DM a user who follows you.

– Hashtag (#): A way to denote a topic of conversation or participate in a larger linked discussion (e.g. #AmericanIdol, #Obama). A hashtag is a discovery tool that allows others to find your tweets, based on topics. You can also click on a hashtag to see all the tweets that mention it in real time — even from people you don’t follow.

Now there are 4 important rules you must consider in the Twitter For Beginners || Twitter 101 Dummies Survival Guide

– Don’t be a troll!
– Don’t tweet every 2 seconds!
– Never track down people by geolocation
– Remeber that jut because you have a large Twitter following doesn’t mean you be a CUNTWAFFLE!!

All Hallow’s Eve is drawing near and the Halloween Costume Cosplay is about to behind but there is a serious side to all this Halloween Boobs, Sexy Cosplay and Pornographic fun… Horror Movie Killers!!!

Horror Movies and Halloween go hand in hand, and thanks you Wes Craven we have a rough list that count as Rules For Horror Movies. These rules where invented in Scream to help cover most of the good old horror films like Friday the 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street with Freddie Krueger , Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Zombie Holocaust, Halloween with Michael Myers, Dawn Of The Dead, Hell Raiser and many other films of that era.

However, I still cant help watch these horror movies and realise they are still doing the same stupid teen horror movie killer stupid things. That is why I made this HOW TO – A Survival Guide for Surviving In A Horror Movie (20 Tips How To Stay Alive In A Horror Movie | Horror Film Survivor Guide)

Message To A Teenage Me

Dear Teenage Alan,

I know life seems boring at times and all you seem to do is doss around with friends in-between going to school, or avoiding going to school but try and enjoy it while you’ve got it.

I know you’re fed up of hearing the boring cliché’s that…

YOU’VE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD
SCHOOL IS THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE
and YOU’LL MISS IT WHEN YOU’RE DONE

… but it is true.

You might not see it now but in 5-10 years time you will have days when you long for your childhood.

You have may ups and downs to face in the coming years and I am sorry you say you will lose people you love, either perminately or slowly over time but I PROMISE although you hurt to start with and it feels like the end of the world, you will survive.

Friends will be there for you to help you but remember only true friends will pick you up when you fall down and its not a popularity contest in the adult world…

ITS NOT HOW MANY FRIENDS YOU HAVE but HOW MANY FRIENDS WILL TAKE A BULLET FOR YOU when you truly need it.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO FALL IN LOVE. These are some of the happiest days in your life and you will cherish those moments forever. HOWEVER sometimes you may need to sift through the bad bits when you look back but that’s life as people grow up, people change and rose tinted glasses can hide many cracks in a persons personality you may not see when you are a loved up puppy – Do’nt be reckless with other peoples hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

REACH FOR THE STARS – You are young and you can succeed in anything as long as you truly want it and work for it. You don’t learn unless you are willing to try.

ENJOY YOURSELF but don’t be IMPATIENT.Good things come to those who wait. Just because you can get an iPhone on credit for a stupidly high monthly fee doesn’t mean you should. You will cause much less stress for yourself if you save up and buy it properly.

DON’T STRESS ABOUT THINGS – Stressing is about as affective as solving an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum – Things have a way of working themselves out over time and don’t ever be afraid to ask for help. You don’t have to suffer alone.

DON’T LET OTHER PEOPLE BRING YOU DOWN – You will have enough personal hang ups in life for you to worry about you don’t need to worry about how other people thing they see you. Friends and Family are your rocks and negative comments you should just take with a pinch of salt.

GROW YOUR HAIR and BE YOURSELF – Why not try share your thoughts on YouTube a little – you’ll make some fantastic friends 🙂

I hope this helps you as well as the Teenage Me.

What are your best tips or me, yourself or your teenage you?

Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide | Festival Top Tips | Download, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds

This is my top tips for music festivals or Festivals For Dummies so to speak.

Download Festival Fan Page – www.facebook.com/groups/DownloadMusicFestival/

Music Festivals can be a great way to meet people and find new bands and normally have big music festival headliners with fantastic live sets such as Metallica, Rammstein, Avenged Sevenfold, Muse, Eminem, Chase and Status, The Prodigy, Paramore, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters, Iceman Thesis, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Linkin Park, Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Blink 182, Jake Bugg, Kasabian and many other live music festival headliners and live festival sets that draw thousands in to enjoy their favourite music festival.

This vlog is to offer Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide and Festival Top Tips for music festival camping tips as a music festival survival guide based on my experience as a boy scout and a veteran of Download Music Festival and Sonisphere Music Festival which are known for their fluctuating weather conditions. This Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide and Festival Top Tips will help you survive the music festival. The Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide and Festival Top Tips include how to plan your festival, camp at a music festival and Ultimate Music Festival Survival Guide Festival Top Tips to food, prices and how not to be a dick.
