LIKE THE SHOW? BE NICE, DONATE!! – bit.ly/18yNmAu

The rebooted version of Crystal Maze just got even more epic as it has been revealed that legendary host Richard O’Brien is very much involved in the project.

A kickstarter campaign is underway for funding for a massive project that will see the set recreated in a secret London location – so that Crystal Maze fans can come and take part in the contest complete with a live audience.

With Richard on board, the adventure is the most exciting thing to happen ever for fans of 90s nostalgia. Depending on the amount you pledge, you can register to take part, enter a team, hire out the set for just you and a group of friends or simply spectate.

While the organisers insist that they have interest from private investors, they say that they would much prefer it to be the fans of the show that finally make it come back.
More details from the organisers

Where will it be? A secret London location

When is it happening? Late 2015 hopefully

How much are tickets? £50 plus booking fee

How long will it be open? As long as the demand and the money allows

No Water Zone then? No. Health and Safety.

Will there be a TV Show? We’ll See 🙂

Could it be the first massive step to finally see the show return to our screens? Time will tell.

Top Childhood Cartoons of the 90’s

I thought I would share my top 10 favourite kids tv shows of my childhood.

1 – Count Duckula
Count Duckula is a British children’s drama, horror, comedy, animated television series created by British studio Cosgrove Hall and a spin-off from DangerMouse, a show in which the Count Duckula character was a recurring villain. The series aired on September 6, 1988 and was produced by Thames Television for three series and Central Television for the fourth and final series. In all, 65 episodes were made, each about 22 minutes long. All 65 episodes have been released to DVD in the UK, while only the first series has been released in North America. Both the series and its characters continue to have a large following on the internet.

The show is a loose parody of the story of Count Dracula. Set in Transylvania (a region in Romania), Duckula lives in a spooky castle known as Castle Duckula alongside his butler Igor and his large nanny (always referred to as “Nanny” and perpetually wearing an arm sling). Almost all of the characters in the show are anthropomorphised birds.

2 – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles / Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles – TMNT
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (known as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in Europe due to controversy at the time). The series featured the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created in comic book form by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The property was changed considerably from the darker-toned comic, to make it more suitable for children and the family.

3 – Pinky & The Brain
Pinky and the Brain is an American animated television series. The characters Pinky and the Brain first appeared in 1993 as a recurring segment on the show Animaniacs

4 – Rugrats
The show focuses on a group of toddlers, most prominently Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Angelica, and their day-to-day lives, usually involving common life experiences that become adventures in the babies’ imaginations

5 – Captain Planet
Captain Planet is the titular character of the TV show Captain Planet and the Planeteers. In the beginning of the series, Gaia assembles a modern-day group of people from several nations. When the modern-day Planeteers combine their powers to summon the elemental warrior, this incarnation takes on the appearance of a superhero, who takes on the superhero-like name of “Captain Planet.” Captain Planet displays a wry sense of humour and often uses puns while taunting the show’s cast of villains.

6 – Care Bears
The Care Bears are characters created by American Greetings in 1981. The Care Bears appeared in their own TV specials called The Care Bears in the Land Without Feelings (1983) and The Care Bears Battle the Freeze Machine (1984). They also had their own television series from 1985 to 1988, in addition to three feature films: The Care Bears Movie (1985), Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation (1986), The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland (1987)

7 – Ren and Stimpy
The Ren & Stimpy Show, often simply referred to as Ren & Stimpy, created by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi. The show premiered on August 11, 1991, on Nickelodeon as part of its Nicktoons block along with Rugrats and Doug. The series focuses on the titular characters: Ren Höek, an emotionally unstable chihuahua, and Stimpson J. Cat, a good-natured, dimwitted cat.

8 – Inspector Gadget
Inspector Gadget is a Canadian animated television series that revolves around the adventures of a clumsy, dim-witted cyborg detective named lnspector Gadget — a human being with various bionic gadgets built into his body. Gadget’s arch-nemesis is Dr. Claw, the leader of an evil organization, known as “M.A.D.”

9 – Poddington Peas
The Poddington Peas is an animated British children’s television series, the single series has 13 episodes and was first aired on the BBC in 1989.

The theme song describes the peas as being “down at the bottom of the garden”. Human size garden objects, giant in size to them, are seen such as up turned flower pots serving as most of their buildings. Humans themselves are never seen or mentioned.

10 – Gummi Bears
Disney’s Adventures of the Gummi Bears is a Disney animated television series that first aired in the United States in the mid-1980s through the early 1990s. The series was the first animated production by Walt Disney Animation Television, and loosely inspired by the gummi bear candies. The show is well-remembered for its theme music, written by Michael and Patty Silversher and creation of “gummiberry juice” which was a topic of magic potion, gaining abilities to defend them against the foes
